Depenbrock was awarded the contract for earthworks and canalisation work on the most financially costly construction project currently being carried out in the Palatinate. Near Weilerbach in the district of Kaiserslautern, civil engineering work began in May 2015 with the commissioned earthworks. The actual clinic construction for the new US hospital is scheduled to begin in 2017. 


A 90-tonne excavator is in operation as well as 4 other large excavators, three crawlers, 10 dumpers, rollers and single-drum compactors and several tractors. Around 470,000 cubic metres of soil will be shifted to compensate for the differences in height.
